It has been an interesting college basketball season up to this point, and a number of key games have already been canceled. There is hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will calm down before March so that the NCAA Tournament can go off without a hitch.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs were a clear betting favorite to win the national championship in the preseason, but the odds have tightened up a bit. Gonzaga is still on top, but there are some great teams that are trying to track them down.
These betting odds are going to continue to change over the next few months, especially leading up to March Madness. Getting bets in early is usually the best play, but the odds will remain open throughout the tournament.

In case you aren’t someone that follows the NCAA Tournament closely, it is an event that is loaded with upsets. The best team very rarely runs the table and wins the title, and there are going to be some lower seeds that make some noise as well.
After the top ten teams, there are still some loaded rosters that can make a run in the NCAA Tournament. If you want to look for some value, then there are some teams that you should keep your eye on.
Teams from the Big Ten, such as the Michigan Wolverines (+3500) and the Ohio State Buckeyes (+4000), have both spent time in the top ten and could be a team to follow in the NCAA Tournament.
Who Makes the Final Four?
The first step in winning a national championship is to make the Final Four, and betting odds are also
available for that market. Gonzaga (+125) has the best odds to reach the Final Four, and they have made a habit of doing just that in recent years.
Behind the Bulldogs are Baylor, Purdue, and Duke at +190, followed by the Kansas Jayhawks at +270. This is another betting market that is going to remain open throughout the year, but it will really heat up once the bracket for the NCAA Tournament is announced.
UConn Still a Women’s Favorite?
The Women’s National Tournament doesn’t gain as much national attention, but the Final Four games have been tremendous over the last few seasons. This sport also seems to have the same teams on top every year, including the current betting favorite.
The UConn Huskies have not been as dominant over the last few seasons, but they are back on top of the betting odds list at +200. The South Carolina Gamecocks have joined UConn as co-betting favorites, and this isn’t as deep of a field.
Stanford (+500) and Maryland (+1000) round out the list of betting favorites to win the national championship.
