FanDuel recently announced a new partnership with Genius Sports in an effort to increase engagement and acquire new customers. FanDuel is currently offering sports betting in nine states throughout the US, and it has plenty of competition in each market.

Genius Sports is a company that is based out of London, and it will help FanDuel have a larger presence in each betting market. This will be done through a series of campaigns that focus on promotions on social media channels.

This is one of the biggest partnerships for Genius Sports and is a first of its kind for FanDuel Sportsbook. Genius Sports will seek out the biggest sporting events to help promote the FanDuel brand throughout the entirety of this deal.

FanDuel recently became the first online sports betting option in the state of Virginia after partnering with the Washington Football Team.

Genius Making Big Moves

Genius Sports has been in the news a lot recently as it looks to have a bigger presence in the United States. In October, the company announced that it was going public after striking a deal with dMY Technology Acquisition II.

Later in October, PointsBet and Genius Sports agreed to a deal, with the sports betting operator getting access to the streaming platform provided by Genius Sports. Genius also has deals in place with NASCAR, NCAA, and the NBA.

FanDuel Focusing on Super Bowl

fanduelWhile FanDuel is still busy making big company-wide moves, the sportsbook has turned its attention to the Super Bowl. This is always one of the biggest days of the year in the sports betting industry, and FanDuel is helping customers win big.

In several different markets, FanDuel is offering 55-1 odds on either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Kansas City Chiefs. This promotion is only available to new customers at FanDuel, but it is an offer that is simply too good to pass up.

Other sports betting operators around the US will offer similar promotions as the competition will continue to heat up. FanDuel will also feature special contests on promotions on its Daily Fantasy Sports platform.

Michigan, Virginia Recently Launched

After a huge 2020 for the US sports betting industry, 2021 is already off to a fast start. Two new states have recently launched a new form of sports betting.

Virginia launched online sports betting last week, and retail sports betting will be coming at a later date in 2021. This could be one of the biggest sports betting markets in the US when it becomes a fully-operational market.

Michigan launched retail sports betting in March 2020, but it came with very limited results. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic kept retail sportsbooks closed for most of the year, and online sports betting was needed.

Just one day after Virginia launched its online betting, Michigan was able to do the same thing. There were 10 online sports betting operators ready to go on day one, and it should allow the state to become a huge force in the Midwest portion of the US.
