The New York Giants and the New York Jets continue to let fans down in the Meadowlands, and it’s going to be another long season. The Giants and Jets have combined for just one victory through six weeks, and that has fans already looking ahead at the 2021 NFL Draft.New York Jets

Even though there is still plenty of time to turn things around for each team, sportsbooks aren’t giving either team much hope of winning the Super Bowl. In fact, both teams have better odds of landing the number one overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft than winning the Super Bowl this season.

According to FanDuel, the New York Giants are +25000 to win the Super Bowl this season, and the New York Jets are +200000. The Jets currently have the lowest odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

No Offense in New York

The New York Giants and the New York Jets are the two lowest-scoring teams in the NFL this season, and that has not allowed each team to be competitive. Both teams have young quarterbacks, but there are plenty of holes for each team on the offensive side of the ball.New York Giants

The New York Giants are averaging just 17.4 points per game this season through the first seven weeks. The Jets have been even worse in 2020, averaging just over 12 points per game.

Both the Jets and Giants have issues on the defensive side of the ball, but the lack of offense continues to be the biggest weakness.

Who Wins the NFC East?

The NFC East Division is by far the worst in the National Football League this season, and all four teams still have a legitimate shot at winning the division, including the New York Giants. Through six weeks, the NFC East has set NFL records for futility, and no one team has been able to separate themselves from the rest of the division.

The Dallas Cowboys are currently the favorites to win the NFC East, even though they are playing without quarterback Dak Prescott. Dallas is listed at +110, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, while the Philadelphia Eagles are listed at +115.

The New York Giants are last on the list at +1600, meaning they are still a long shot at winning the division.

Tanking For Trevor?

University of Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is projected as the top overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he would meet the needs of several NFL teams. FanDuel Sportsbook has already released its 2021 NFL Draft betting odds, and Lawrence sits atop the list.

According to FanDuel, Lawrence is listed at -1000 to be the number 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. These odds will likely shift several times in the weeks leading up to the draft, but it’s clear that Lawrence is the best player available.

Lawrence has already publicly stated his unwillingness to play for the New York Jets organization, and there is a chance that he could return to Clemson for his senior season.
