We are less than two weeks away from the start of the 2022-23 NBA season, and it should be another terrific year of basketball. There will be plenty of focus on the state of New York once the NBA season begins, as the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are two of the biggest attractions.
It was an interesting season for both the Knicks and the Nets a season ago, but it was also one that didn’t end with a ton of success. Betting on the NBA will really start to heat up when the regular season games begin, but there are betting options open now.

Knicks Might Miss Playoffs

Nets Expected to Be Great
The Brooklyn Nets had an interesting offseason, and at times it looked as if the team was set to unravel. Brooklyn will enter 2022-23 with one of the most talented rosters in the NBA, and oddsmakers have set the over/under at a high number.
The regular season win total for the Nets is set at 51.5, and that is one of the highest marks in the entire league. If Brooklyn is able to win at least 52 games this season, then they should be one of the top seeds once the playoffs begin.
The Nets should have a full season with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, and that duo is incredibly hard to stop.
Plenty of Competition
It seems pretty likely that the Nets are going to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season, but they are going to have plenty of competition as well. The Eastern Conference is now stronger than the West, especially when it comes to title contenders.
The Boston Celtics are the favorites to win the NBA Championship at +600, and they won the East a season ago. Milwaukee is a recent NBA champion as well, and the Bucks have odds set at +650.
Brooklyn has had a lot of time to think about the early playoff exit last season, and that should give them an edge heading into this season.
